About

I am a writer, filmmaker, producer, and program leader. I love bikes, books, movies, and all things New Wave and ramen.

My writing has appeared in lit magazines, including H.O.W. Journal, Nimrod, Gulf Coast, and 14 Hills, and has been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes. I’ve received residencies from the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts and Edenfred.

My first feature-length script, which I co-produced, Sway Lake, is in post-production. Recently, I also created and directed a documentary pilot for Self magazine and CNE. I've also worked in development at AMC Network, directed several short films and music videos, and co-produced the feature Adventures of Power, which was released by Variance Films. Somewhere in there, I also joined the wild reality show Rad Girls for Fuse as a segment producer.

I've been a program director with Education Unlimited at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Yale since 2009, and have also taught writing and public speaking. In early 2010, I taught creative writing with the Monterey Bay Writers Studio.

in 2010, I took time off to travel and write. I packed up, moved to Croatia, and taught English at the University of Zadar on the Dalmatian coast thru the Fulbright ETA Fellowship. In Croatia, I also developed book-making workshops and taught at conferences throughout the country.

After receiving a Dickson Fellowship and graduating from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television with a BA in Film, I received a Rotary Ambassadorial Fellowship to study art and directing at the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design, and Technology in Ireland. In 2009, I earned an MFA in creative writing at The New School in New York City.
